Hello Parents my name is Miss Hemmert. I will be your child’s teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. I am very excited to work with you and your children throughout this different looking school year.

I’d like to share with you a few of my expectations for this school year:

In Person:

• Students should come everyday with two sharpened pencils.
• Homework books should be signed every night.
• Homework will also be posted on my website.
• You will be able to view your child’s grades on our option C website
• We will be covering multiplication and division facts this year in math.
• Our goal for reading is to be able to write different types of stories with details including Persuasive, Narrative, and Expository.

Virtual:

• Students should show up on time to each scheduled zoom meeting, unless I am notified. If a child misses the majority of the meeting they will be counted as absent for the day.
• During zoom meetings students are expected to behave the way they would in school (sitting at a desk or table, raising their hand if they have a question, and being respectful to myself and peers.)
• Google classroom assignments should be turned in no less than 24 hours than the time they were assigned.
• If a student does need help with an assignment please contact me and we will set up a time for a zoom call or phone call.
